Did we enjoy our trip/holiday? You bet we did!!

As I write this it is my intention to make this, the 'wash-up' post in six 'episodes' or pages - a copy of Google maps initially centred on Corsica, a general overview with tips and our findings and opinions, a slideshow of many of the pictures we took, videos of the holiday, our findings on the costings involved (please note we didn't necessarily go for the cheapest option) and an appraisal of the Berlingo.

It all started last February when we were looking around to see where we would like to go for our September holiday. For the last several years we have been to Benidorm, initially by flying and then last year we decided to go by car - so off we went in the Xantia having earlier that same summer driven to Roses in Northern Spain. Travel at ground level has become necessary as my breathing is adversely affected on flights of more than about an hour.

Why Corsica? I suppose you could call us Francophiles and Corsica just sounded to be an ideal destination. On reflection I suppose it was a bit adventurous for a couple of ‘old fogeys’ but I suppose the adventure seemed worthwhile whilst we were still able to do it.

This website may not be very user friendly to any of you browsers who are using an Apple computer whether it be Mac, iPad or what have you. Most of the world is Windows orientated and this does make it easier (in our opinion) to design and produce web sites. However, if enough of you contact us with a request to make it, or another site, Apple friendly we will try to oblige. As you are surely aware the time taken to create a website is quite significant so we won’t do a ‘mod’ for just a handful of you. Instead you must have a friend with a PC!

We hope you enjoy our attempt to provide you with an insight into this marvellous island and our wish to share our enjoyment with you.
