Climbing the mountain road from the roundabout north east of Saint-Florent with the the junction between the D80 and D81 to the memorial to the Battle of Teghime at the Col de Teghime. This road starts quite gently before it becomes quite steep towards the top.

• Ajaccio - waiting outside the ferry terminal before it was time to board our ferry, the Mega Express.

• Lyon - the transit through Lyon from its southern outskirts to the centre near the famous Restaurant Brasserie George. The filming ends rather abruptly as we come to the end of the tailback due to the Fouvriere tunnel.

Descending the mountain road, the D81, from the Col de Treghime to our hotel in Bastia. Please note the bends without any armco or similar to prevent cars etc from tumbling several hundred feet down the mountainside. This was a reason why we did not venture to Saint-Florent for an evening meal! As we enter Bastia make note of the ‘table top like’ road calming/humps.

• Mariana Plage  - playing boule - didn’t see very much of this national sport whilst in Corsica in fact I don’t think we saw any locals playing it.
• Marine de Giottani - a rocky bay with harbour on the west coast of Cap Corse. A nice place to go to with a convenient bar and hotel but the beach is very very stony. Very pleasant in its own way though.
• Bastia, Place St Nicolas - a short clip involving Tracey, the Corsica Ferries ‘classic’ ferry Sardinia Regina which provides a shuttle service from Bastia to Livorno in Italy. Also included is a view of the entrance to the tunnel which provides a useful (and essential) by-pass for the south of Bastia town.
• Four master Star Flyer - the four masted clipper Star Flyer arrived in Bastia for a short visit whilst it was one of its Mediterranean cruises.
• Erbalunga - we made a second visit to Erbalunga as we found it to be a very pleasant laid back place. We intended to go there one evening for a meal but we ran out of time.
• Bastia - the view from the front of the Berlingo whilst returning to the hotel from Arinella Plage (the town beach). We travel along the Rue de Mer, pass through the tunnel under the old harbour, and then travel up to our hotel. Notice the double parking and laid back attitude to parking.

Crossing the mountain range between Corte and Ajaccio on our way home. This part of the journey was undertaken during the Corsican lunch hour which explains why there is so little traffic - not normally so quiet from our experience. Some of this stretch of road is very twisty and steep whilst there are several stretches of newly made road in the ‘lowlands’.
